This is it …
Mark it down …
A red letter day in your life …
I’m totally serious. This will be a life changing day. In fact, the next 5 minutes will do it.
If you completely understand what you’ll be reading, you will never be able to come back to this place again. You will have moved one major A-HA closer to your dreams. You will have made one incremental improvement.
OK …
You’ve been following along with my blog, and you know all about your conditioned mind.
It currently controls you. Like it or not, that’s a fact.
It either helps you along your journey through life or it stops you dead in your tracks. Worse, usually it takes you down the wrong tracks.
Whoever controls your conditioned mind wins. It controls you, or you control it. Those are the choices.
Today, all the reading and thinking is OVER.
IT’S TIME FOR ACTION. IT’S TIME FOR MASSIVE ACTION.
It’s time for you to begin developing the habits of success. It’s time for you to take complete control of your conditioned mind and INTENTIONALLY BOMBARD IT with ideas, and thoughts and philosophies and attitudes and habits and strategies and beliefs that will grow you into a person capable of massive success. In our case, we’re talking SPECIFICALLY about financial success.
THE GREAT NEWS IS THAT WHAT WORKS FOR CREATING FINANCIAL SUCCESS WORKS IN ALL OTHER AREAS OF YOUR LIFE TOO.
Your success is entirely up to you, and no one else. Do you believe this? I hope you do, because experience has proven it to be so. No one else on this earth cares about your success as much as you do. No one else on this earth has more control over your success than you do. If you grow into a great person, you will automatically create great results. It’s never the other way around! First you must become successful inside, before the results will show up on the outside. If you don’t grow, you never succeed. Stop learning, start dying.
In order for you to succeed financially, your conditioned mind is going to have to go through an overhaul. You will most likely never succeed financial with your current conditioned mindset.
Knowing what you know now, what would you do differently with your money, your income, your savings, your investments, your career/business if you got a do over and got to start back to when you were 10 years old? What habits would you change?
Starting from this day forward, you must dedicate a minimum of 15 minutes daily for YOU. This is sacred time. This is special time. This is time totally dedicated to INTENTIONALLY BOMBARDING your conditioned mind with ideas that lead to FINANCIAL success in your life.
This is totally selfish time. Protect it like it was gold. Because once you get into the habit of dedicating 15 minutes daily on FOCUSED thoughts that lead to financial success, you will begin to see incremental improvements. Faster than you can imagine, you’ll be turning your conditioned mind into an ally that doesn’t hold you back anymore. In fact, it helps you find even better ways to get you where you want to go.
When do you do it?
Preferably, first thing in the morning. Your mind is fresh. You have fewer distractions. Equally important, when you focus on a topic first thing in the day, you have the rest of the day to apply it in your life and begin a new habit.
Wake up 15 minutes earlier. That’s the best option.
Or, if you can relax at the end of the day and clear your mind of everything that’s happened, do it then. When you go to sleep, your unconscious mind will work on the last conscious thoughts of the day. You can concentrate on applying what you learned throughout the next day.
Regardless, starting right here and now, declare to yourself that you are committed to your own financial success, and that from this day forward, you will take massive action to achieve your success.
What do you do in your 15 minutes?
Read a post in my blog. Add a comment. Think about the message. Think about how to apply it into your life. Think about how it can impact your life. Commit before reading that you will learn something valuable from having read it.
Of course, there are a lot of brilliant people out there for you to learn from, and I do too. I generally read about a book a week. Always nonfiction. Always about success. The new ideas and good ideas I apply into my life, and I share them here on my blog.
Soon, my goal is to create a community of people who have conquered their conditioned mind, and are passionate about their own success. You just don’t get there overnight. Many never get there at all. Few actually talk the talk AND walk the walk. I know. I’ve been around the block a few times. Talk is cheap.
But every once in a while, I find the go-getter, the person who takes the initiative, who has the courage, the passion and desire to learn whatever they need to learn and do whatever they need to do in order to get where they want to go. They have a vision and a burning desire. They’ve got a smile on their face. They’re naturally happy. They believe in the Law of Attraction, and they’re committed to their mission.
Are you that person? Do you want to become that person?
15 minutes a day. Every day. Make it a habit.
There’s so much to learn, where do you even begin? A strong foundation is the key. We’ll be talking specifically about how to begin building an incredible foundation in the next post. Don’t miss it.
Namaste.
Jeff

I get it Jeff, the more you train your mind to think toward success and ideas to succed the easier and more productive it will be, like training for anything physically. Thanks, that’s a neat way to apply that idea.
Jeff Fagin response :
Hi S.,
Yes, you’ve got it! It’s always about how you are able to train your brain (or condition it) to behave the way you know will bring you success.
Hope to see you back here again.
Jeff
I agree that emotion does control quite a lot in our lives, but I don’t agree that it is a bad thing. Emotion is what we tell ourselves when something is good or bad. Take for example: anger. When we feel angry, we don’t want to become angry again. It is not a nice emotion. This forces us to not do whatever it was that made us angry. Our mind knows what is good and bad for us, so why should we fight it?
Jeff Fagin response:
Hi Steven,
Good points. There’s nothing wrong in feeling your emotions. It’s when you’re emotions dictate your actions that you get yourself into trouble.
The idea here is to begin to spend 15 minutes daily to begin bombarding your mind with success ideas and then act on them. Begin this habit, and you’ll see phenominal results before you know it.
Jeff
Now this is an interesting concept. The hardest part though will be devoting ones time to do exactly that. To have free, self, motivated, alone time. They say that success is in the eye of the beholder. I guess if you devote this 15 minute time period to yourself, just about anything will be possible in your life. You have to know you can do it, and then the rest will be a down hill slide.
Jeff Fagin response:
Hi Jaice,
It’s only hard if you believe it is. If you don’t do it, no one is going to do it for you. Either you accept responsibility for your success or you accept responsibility for your failure. Either way, it’s YOUR responsiblility.
Hope to see you back here often.
Jeff
This article has been very helpful, you teach me a very good lesion and now i know more about life. I will definetly become that person and i know that there is much to learn and i am willing to learn it all. Thank you
Jeff Fagin response:
Hi Dingo,
Thank you for your comment.
Hope to see you follow through on your words.
I’ll look forward to seeing you back here again.
Jeff
There’s so much to learn, where do you even begin? — THAT’S the big question. I feel so bombarded with all the self-help and advice and opinions out there today. (I guess it was much simpler for grandma!) I find that at least 15 minutes in the morning (with a cup of coffee
helps me to refocus on my goals and align my thoughts with my true values. It takes pausing though, from our hectic schedule!
Jeff Fagin response:
Hi Dondie,
Your comments are so true. We are bombarded with self-help gurus and advice. Where do you begin and who do you listen to?
First, find someone whose message resonates with you. Someone who’s ideas and philosophy feel right to you. Then focus on the ideas they express and how you can incorporate them into your life immediately.
The fact that you find the 15 minutes each morning with a cup of coffee to focus on your goals is outstanding. 15 minutes of focused attention first thing in the morning may be the most valuable 15 minutes of the day.
Thanks for your comment Dondie.
Jeff
Hey,Jeff! I must say that this particular blog has piqued my interest.I’m willing to take 15 minutes a day to condition myself to be successful.I have heard other successful people think along this line as well,so I’m sure this proven technique will work.
Jeff Fagin response:
Hi Chris,
Thanks for your comment. I hope you REALLY are willing to take 15 minutes a day to condition yourself for success. Make it a HABIT. You’ll soon see great results, and your future will be immeasurably brighter.
Come back here often!
Jeff
I love waking up just before my family in the mornings, it gives me time to organize my thoughts, and time to figure out how I am going to organize my day around everyone else. It also allows me time to catch up on any news of the day.
And a nice cup of coffee helps.
Jeff Fagin response:
Hi Lauren,
Do you have a favorite flavor?
Yes, getting up early and organizing your thoughts is an excellent way to start your day. But what I’m referring to is getting up and STUDYING for 15 minutes. Ideas that you can think about and incorporate into your life. Ideas that CHANGE your belief system and change your actions so that you can get better results in life. Training your brain to think in ways that naturally lead you to more success and happiness.
Thanks again Lauren.
Jeff
Jeff,
You are a very wise being sir! You can certainly tell that you are sincere when you talk about reading a book a week! It shows in your thoughts. These are thoughts of a successful person. I’m sure you’ve read it already, but there is a great book about the Law Of Attraction called “The Secret”. I’d be suprised if you haven’t read it yet. But if you haven’t, go grab a copy! Its critical! Thanks a million Jeff, for helping to spread this age old wisdom to the masses!
Jeff Fagin response:
Hi Call It Karma,
Thank you for your words. I truly appreciate them.
I read the book “The Secret” and have watched the DVD many times. I have some very strong opinions because I believe that it sends the WRONG message.
If you watch closely, the message that is repeated constantly is that the “Secret” is the “Law of Attraction.” I have no issue with that.
According to “The Secret” there are 3 critical things we must do.
First, we must be clear on what we want. No problem there.
Second, we must ask the Universe to deliver what we want to us. No problem there.
Third, we must be grateful for what we already have. No problem there.
But …
And this is the BIG BUT …
Where’s the direction to TAKE MASSIVE ACTION? Nowhere in “The Secret” does it say anything about taking action. And that’s where I have an issue.
The “Process of Manifestation” says that your THOUGHTS lead to your FEELINGS which leads to your ACTIONS which lead to your RESULTS. Never forget the importance of ACTION.
Thank you again for your comment. I hope to see you back here often.
Jeff
This was an interesting blog. I completely understand what you are trying teach here, training your mind to think positively and successfully. It’s like a workout for your brain, to put it simply. My schedule is so hectic, I’m not sure I would get up any earlier, but I do take a few minutes through out the day to close my eyes and center my self which is quite helpful. I am definitely going to pass this one to a few friends of mine who could pssibly benefit from what you have to say. Thank you!
Jeff Fagin response:
Thanks Chava for your comments.
It’s all about YOUR commitment to your self. You do this for your financial success. It works.
I hope to see you back here Chava.
All the best,
Jeff
Its amazing what a simple 15 minutes a day can do. We usually live our lives according to the demands of the moment. Those demands will never go away, but our attitude toward them can change. Taking just a few minutes to nurture our mind will remind us of the principles and priorities of life. Among them, of course, is making REAL money. Thanks, Jeff, for the reminder.
Jeff Fagin response:
You’re absolutely right Jayson.
It’s about learning what to do to take actions that result in REAL money.
Not daydreaming, not theory, but action steps that lead to success and prosperity.
Thanks again.
Jeff
I think that you have a wonderful idea here. I am going to wake up 20 minutes early tomorrow instead of fifteen. You are right, I need to take control of MY life. Maybe if I can do this than I will influence more people, I will b e more confident and stronger than I ahave been in the past!
Jeff Fagin response:
Thanks Cheryl. That’s the spirit. I hope you have the courage and the determination to follow through.
Hope to see you here again soon.
Jeff
I really enjoyed this blog. I believe my mind has been strengthed and tested by it. I will definately practice your 15 minute time per day. I like organizing my thoughts in the mornings.
Jeff Fagin response:
Hi Joe,
Good idea. Hope you can follow through.
All the best,
Jeff
Interesting stuff. So positive mind set leads to positive achivement. I guess its all about taking the right attitude to succeed and in these current financially stressful times its good to see the opportunity to take hold of your finances and make something with them not use them for someone else to make something from them. It all works for you if you want it to.
Jeff Fagin response:
Yes, your attitude at the beginning of any task will determine its outcome.
I hope you’re conditioning your mind for success.
Jeff
This is such an interesting concept, quite similar to currently accepted psychological counseling practices. I do feel that a lot of what hinders people from success is their own inability to accept success. I am one of those people. When something appears as though its going well in life, I “self-sabotage” whether intentionally or unintentionally. The hardest part of getting over this issue is shutting off your negative censor that says you don’t deserve it.
Thank you for presenting common concepts in a new, much more BOLD manner.
Jeff Fagin response:
Hi Squeaks,
Most people self-sabatogue themselves. It’s a DIRECT RESULT OF THEIR PREVIOUS CONDITIONING. It’s up to each of us as adults to recondition ourselves so that we STOP this cycle and begin to do the necessary steps to achieve the success we are striving for.
Hope to see you back here soon.
All the best,
Jeff
Hello Jeff,
You Are abosolutely right. In the daily works in our life we most of the time forget to think about what we are working for. The goal that we begins with in teen age soon ends into a daily routine of day to day stagnant life which leads to no higher success.
Yes, If we can just work out at least 15 mins( thats not a big time I guess!) to think for our financial goals alone we sure can reach it much easier. Thinking Increases our focus and brings new ideas…brain is always a wonderfull place to explore …it got all answers. And yes reading new things everyday excercises our brain to think in new ways the other’s think!
Jeff Fagin response:
Hi Indra,
Thank you for your comments. All good points.
Bombarding your brain everyday with success ideas and philosophies will allow you to grow that much quicker. More importantly, it conditions your mind to think in ways that promote your success!
All the best,
Jeff
Dear Jeff,
Thanks for all of the help through this article and everything else. You have helped inspire me into becoming a better person and helping my financial success as well by helping me set my goals. Thanks for everything.
Sambo
Jeff Fagin response:
Hi Sambo,
Thank you for your comments. I really appreciate it.
I hope to see you here often.
Namaste.
Jeff
Hello there! I’m a first time reader, and I have to say that this blog was really interesting! I will definitely start focusing on financial success for the first (and last) 15 minutes of my day. Thank you for an insightful post!
Jeff Fagin response:
Hi Suzanne,
It’s amazing what you can do in just 15 minutes a day if you are focused and are willing to learn and do. There is no one secret to success. It takes time and effort, but ANYONE who really wants to can do it.
Thanks for your comment.
Jeff
Excellent thoughts and well timed reminders in my world. Thank you! Hindsight reminds me this is what I did to overcome some health related issues long ago. I will be sending my DH this way as he is the other half of my brain (the whole is greater than than the sum of the two separate parts in this instance) and we are likely as not to (unintentionally) stumble each other. When a couple is working your program together, do you recommend the 15 minutes to be spent together or separately then shared later?
Jeff Fagin response:
Hi NorthWet,
Great question.
Every case is different, because every couple is different. Are you both passionate about your personal growth and success? Do you both want to accomplish the same goals? Do you both support each other enthusiastically?
Having a partner to learn with can be a huge advantage or disadvantage depending on how well aligned you’re both are. If you’re both passionate about achieving more than the average, then spending the time together studying is the way to go. If one of you is and the other isn’t, it won’t work, in fact it’ll be counter productive.
Hope to see you here again soon. There’s a lot to learn!
Jeff
“Commit before reading that you will learn something valuable from having read it.”
But all this blog tells us is to read it. What thoughts should we focus on in those 15 minutes? Yes positive thinking can go a long way, but you want us to have FOCUSED thinking. What should we focus on, specifically?
You also said the time for reading and thinking is over, and that it’s time for massive action. But then the massive action is more reading and more thinking?
Hi Marley,
I like your attitude… “Tell me specifically what to do!”
And I’m telling you to start by committing to finding 15 minutes a day to begin to focus on learning the skills, the philosophies, attitudes, strategies, for creating a wealthier and more abundant life.
There are around 180 blog postings here at my site. Virtually every single one of them covers a theme, either money management skills, success strategies, or winning the money game. You can read and reflect on any one of them in 15 minutes. You can write a comment about what you’ve learned, or how you will apply what you’ve learned in your life. You won’t learn it all in a day or a week or a year. In fact, you’ll never learn it all. But the more you learn, and then APPLY what you’ve learned into your daily life, the more you’ll begin to see your growth and success. You have to GROW YOURSELF into the kind of person who is capable of achieving the success you want for yourself.
Read. Study. Think. Do.
What was the single, most important action I asked my readers to commit to today? I asked them to commit to setting aside 15 minutes daily for the success of their financial future. For someone to begin a brand new habit like that when they haven’t been doing it before REQUIRES MASSIVE ACTION. Otherwise, they’ll NEVER DO IT!
The odds are most won’t. Most don’t even recognize this critical point. When the lesson is staring them in the face and they don’t see it, there’s not much to be done.
Hope that answers your question.
All the best,
Jeff
It is important to take time for yourself, and it makes sense to think positively during that time. Is the positive thinking the only key to your financial success? Probably not, but when you act on that positive thinking and take it to heart, then you can understand what you need to do to take hold of your finances and get on track for your freedom. Thanks for the blog, Money Master!
Jeff Fagin response:
Hi Benny,
It’s not so much positive thinking as much as it’s POWER thinking. You want to think empowering thoughts that promote your success.
Few of us are “conditioned” from an early age how to become excellent money managers, how to win the money game and become financially free. That’s why 98% of the population struggles financially their entire lives.
I have been committed to learning this information since I was 15, almost 40 years ago. It’s worked amazingly well for me. I still spend hours (NOT 15 MINUTES) daily educating and reading the most brilliant minds I can find in the fields that are important to me. It’s a habit I never intend to give up.
Thanks again for your comments.
Jeff
So true! You must seize the day and start NOW on changing your brainwashed mind. You must take control of your life. 15 minutes first thing in the morning is a great way to begin the untraining. I would also suggest starting your own blog and using it as a tool to move past your fears.
Jeff Fagin response:
Hi Scott,
Excellent idea. I’ve suggested starting a blog to many of my clients. Few take me up and all quit within a month or two. It’s a hard habit to create. I’ve been writing my blog for over 3 years, and if you look around, it’s rare to find one that someone has written consistently for that long.
Thanks for your comment.
I hope to see you back here frequently.
Jeff
Jeff,
Very wise words, once again - your blog posts are always such a joy to read. With the new year upon us, reading this was the perfect way for me to get motivated and make the changes I’ve been putting off way too long.
Cheers!
Jeff Fagin response:
Hi B!
That’s a great attitude to carry into the new year. I hope you make 2009 your best year ever.
Thanks for your comment.
Jeff
I couldn’t agree more, Jeff. My goal every morning is to spend at least 10 - 15 minutes meditating, and it really has done wonders to improve my mood and set the tone for the rest of the day. I think if everyone made it a habit to take some time to ponder their goals and put positive thinking and visualization into action before their bodies are active, we’d see a lot more success and happiness, and much less stress!
Jeff Fagin response:
Hi Jessie,
Great points.
Let’s not mistake meditation for learning. They’re both important, and they both play a role in your success.
Today, I’m focused more on active learning. Take 15 minutes to actively learn something new in the areas of money management, winning the money game and becoming financially free daily. Then, figure out how to apply it in your life. 1 new idea a day will eventually transform your life.
Hope to see you again here soon.
All the best,
Jeff
Jeff,
Thank you so much for this insightful post. You’re absolutely right - so much of our actions that keep us from success come from the thoughts that run through our minds 24/7. It is somewhat difficult to break away from the patters at first, but I do believe it is worth it. I will start using those 15 minutes as you suggested, instead of hitting the snooze button!
Jeff Fagin response:
Hi Michelle,
That’s great. There is NO DOUBT that educating yourself daily in the areas that lead to wealth and abundance, and then FOLLOWING THROUGH with ACTION is the key to continual growth.
15 minutes a day. It’s worth every second!
Thanks for your comment.
Jeff
Hey Jeff! Your concept is truly awesome. I guess it’s pretty much like conditioning your body for a set of goals, only instead, you’re conditioning your mind. I agree that most people’s current mindsets are not in the appropriate place to achieve financial success. I also like the idea of 15 minutes of “alone time”. Being completely alone allows a person to set aside any outside control and focus on themselves and who they are inside (which will ultimately determine what they can do). The possibilities are limitless. Keep writing! God Bless!
Jeff Fagin response:
Thank you Golf for your comments. I couldn’t have said it better myself!
Hope to see more of your comments here.
Jeff
I agree with you jeff. Our society needs to learn to recondition our conditioned minds!
We need to learn to think for ourselves. We need to ask ourselves how are we going to succeed in doing this! We all need to be successful and think about out how we will accomplish this everyday.
We need to become that person you are talking about and be able to inspire others to do what you (we!) have already learned to do.
Jeff Fagin response:
Hi Steve,
Amen to that!
You are correct.
For some, this message will resonate. They’ll hear this and realize that this “feels” right. For others, this will blow right over their heads.
I’m passionate about helping those who really are interested in learning what to do and how to do it when it comes to wealth and abundance. It’s been a major part of my life for almost 40 years, and I’ve seen the results not only in my life, but in the lives of many who chose to take the same path.
These are Universal truths. I take no credit for them. I only take credit for learning them and incorporating them into my life so that I could achieve everything I wanted to achieve. So can anyone who is willing to learn and practice.
Thanks again for your comment Steve.
Hope to see you here again.
Jeff
I have been thinking a lot about how to succeed financialy. I just haven’t been dedicating the time to actually think about DOING. I will try out this dedicating time to financial success. Maybe by doing that I will find the answer that I have been looking for and not just letting my mind wander away everytime I get distracted by what I am doing.
Jeff Fagin response:
Hi J,
Thank you for your comment. What you describe is your conditioned mind distracting you from moving forward to do something that would actually be good for you in your life. It doesn’t care about your success, only your survival. You think it’s your friend, but it isn’t. It’s up to you to take control of it and begin to “recondition” it so that you DO the things that lead to success.
15 minutes a day FOCUSED on learning new success skills and habits. That’s what it takes.
All the best,
Jeff
u’re quite write jeff if ur mind is conquered everythin else can be conquered too as per ur instruction i hav also started reading non fiction success stories and will definitely try to incorporate some virtues in my personal life ur article was a eye opener n i think i’ll be visiting ur blog again….
Jeff Fagin response:
Hi Amresh,
Thank you for your comment.
I hope I’ll see more of your comments here soon.
Jeff
Jeff, this post rings with so much truth, especially in the current financial climate. It’s hard to keep perspective with the nightly news is reporting gloom and doom.
I think a lot of people forget or, even worse, don’t believe that *they* control their own financial destiny. Those 15 minutes a day spent focusing on your own financial health will reap rewards, be it in planning out a new way to add income to your budget, or creative ways to trim debts.
Also I wanted to give a kudos to your response to Call It Karma about “The Secret” because it just adds another point to your already inspirational post -a clear plan plus action makes it happen, not just hopes and dream.
Keep writing!
Jeff Fagin response:
Hi J,
Thanks for your comments. I really appreciate them.
15 minutes a day can change your life forever. It’s not difficult. It’s just a new habit that you need to get used to. Follow up with ACTION throughout the day, and you change your world.
Hope I’ll see you back here often.
Jeff
It’s crazy to me that I’ve been spending so much time doing things, taking care of my little boy, cleaning house, working, talking to friends and family members, I think I’d completely forgotten about the idea of taking time to better myself! Thanx for reminding me!
Jeff Fagin response:
Hi Dray,
Hope you remember now!
If you can remember to take 15 minutes daily to read new information, think about how to apply it in your life, write a comment about it, and take action, you’ll win the game.
It just doesn’t happen overnight.
Hope to see you here again soon.
Jeff
Well, now, this is something I can do. I can certainly find, or make, a 15 minute window in which I focus on my financial success and dreams. This is a great idea which I like very much. I believe you’re right, that the mind can control you, or you can control your mind. And it’s much more productive when you can control the mind rather than it controlling you. Good stuff. I’m going to start tomorrow morning. Setting my clock 15 minutes earlier than normal! I’m pumped!
Jeff Fagin response:
Hi Sheila,
That’s a great start. I hope you’ll keep me posted how you’re doing!
All the best,
Jeff
